Become the Kind of Teacher the World Needs. Are you ready to deepen your practice and share the transformative gift of yoga with others? Our Yoga Alliance Registered 200-Hour Teacher Training program is designed for you—whether you're an aspiring teacher or simply seeking to explore the philosophy and practice of yoga on a deeper level. At Kindred, we believe yoga is for everybody. Our training goes beyond the postures, empowering you to create safe, intentional, and inclusive spaces. Our goal is to offer the tools you need to deliver an authentic practice to your students. Our curriculum is rooted in the same values that support our studio: kindness, community, and accessibility.

Our Comprehensive Curriculum Includes:

  • Teaching Methodology & Techniques: Learn how to create a class with purpose and flow, including sequencing, cueing, and an understanding of postural alignment.

  • Anatomy & Physiology: Study the biomechanics of postures and how to offer safe and thoughtful modifications.

  • Yoga Philosophy: Dive into the history and ethics of yoga to build a practice that is authentic and true to its roots.

  • The Business of Yoga: Gain the tools to launch your teaching career, from finding your voice to building a community.

What You’ll Gain:

  • The confidence to lead a class with clarity and compassion.

  • A deeper understanding of your own mind-body connection.

  • Lifelong friendships and a supportive, uplifting community.

  • The knowledge to honor the unique needs and abilities of every student.

Why in-person Yoga Teacher Training?

Choosing an in-person teacher training provides a unique and valuable learning experience that can't be fully replicated online. The physical presence of a group creates a powerful and supportive community where you can form lifelong bonds with fellow trainees and instructors. This immersive environment allows for immediate, hands-on feedback on your teaching techniques and assists, which is essential for building the confidence and skills needed to lead a class. You get to practice cueing in real time, observe your peers, and receive personalized adjustments from experienced teachers. While online training offers flexibility, it often lacks the depth of connection and practical application that an in-person program provides. The subtleties of teaching—such as the tone of your voice, your presence in a room, and the ability to read a student's body language—are best developed in a shared physical space. The community aspect is also crucial for personal growth. In a studio setting, you'll be able to:

  • Engage in direct, real-time discussions and philosophical debates with your peers and mentors.

  • Practice hands-on adjustments under the direct supervision of an instructor.

  • Observe and assist in live classes, gaining valuable experience that goes beyond a screen.

  • Develop a strong professional network with other aspiring teachers in your area.

The Covid-19 pandemic forced most teacher training programs to be held entirely online. While this was an irrefutable solution to potentially having to cease training all together, it left many feeling like they lacked the skillset to translate what they learned through their screens into a real-life, in person class. There are many positives to providing accessible in-depth learning online, but an in-person training is impossible to replicate and many trainees feel better equipped after learning in the studio.
